In October 2020, Year 1 of our Numeracy focus, teachers started incorporating Numeracy lessons created by Carole Fullerton into their instruction with their students. Students engaged new Numeracy concepts through fun and innovative lessons and activities. The forms of these lessons align well with the British Columbia Refreshed Numeracy Curricular Competencies and Content. Staff have noticed their students have enjoyed many of these new hands-on lessons and strategies. Staff have also noted their student's understanding of important Numeracy skills and concepts have increased.
