At four ProD Days throughout the 2022-2023 school year, the Robert J. Tait Staff learned together about the power of a mathematical growth mindset. Using Jo Boaler's book, Mathematical Mindsets as a guide, staff learned about a fixed and growth mindset, and how any individual can positively shift their thinking about themselves as a math learner.

In classrooms throughout the 2022-2023 school year, teachers continually shared the concept of having a Growth Mindset with their students. Students shifted their mindset from a 'fixed' mindset ("I'm never going to be good at math and I can't improve"), to a 'growth' mindset (I can't do this yet, but with work and determination and a positive mindset I will be able to do this).
