In Year 2 of our Numeracy Focus (2021-2022), teachers continued to implement Numeracy lessons that were engaging for students and helped them improve their Numeracy understanding through fun and interactive lessons and activities. The forms of these lessons aligned well with the British Columbia Refreshed Numeracy Curricular Competencies and Content.

We continued to use Teaching Resources from Carole Fullerton's series of Numeracy books for Kindergarten to Grade 7, and also added an additional Teaching Resource called High Yield Routines for Grades K-8.

Staff continued to notice their students have enjoyed many of these new hands-on lessons and strategies. Staff have also noted their student's understanding of important Numeracy skills and concepts have increased.
