At our May 2024 Professional Development Day, one of our teaching staff shared an educational resource titled, Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics, authored by SFU Professor of Education, Peter Liljedahl.

In his book, Liljedahl shares many teaching and learning strategies to use with student learning groups in mathematics, or any subject areas for that matter. 

As a staff, we have made a commitment to share some of these strategies at future Professional Development days in the 2024-2025 school year. Additionally, several of the staff have asked for their own copies of Peter Liljedal's book so they can be part of a 2024-2025 staff study group focussing on the book.
